Maybe I am just unlucky, but the problems I have encountered include:1. Sometimes this bubble pops up asking me if I want to reformat my memory disk. This is a really cute phone. Sometimes when the phone freezes I have to take out the battery to restart the phone because it won't turn off.4. But, besides those problems, the phone is really attractive. The keys have started to develop a crack.2. You need some fingernails and/or more hand strength than I have.5.
Sometimes a window pops up telling me that I have to insert a SIM card, when my SIM card is definitely still inserted.7. However, I have encountered numerous problems with it. No I don't.6. The phone freezes one me at least once a day.3. The battery cover is really, really hard to take off. I'm not sure if it's the signal or the phone, but on numerous occassions I have either dropped my calls or have not received calls (only voicemails and not even any missed call messages). It worked well when it did, but I am likely replacing this phone now (it's only been about a year, but it's past the warranty and the problems are even worse than before but I can't get it replaced).
Coverage". Phone does not work about one month beyond warranty. Beware. Sony says will be $159 for repair. Error is "No Netw. Other features are bad too. Stay away.
The keys began to crack after 3 weeks of use and the buttons are so flat it's just not comfortable. The mp3 player was really nice with features comparable to itunes. I loved this phone with easy to use menus and excellent controls. I'm on my third warranty claim and it is just so frustrating. It was super easy to get music on the phone and play them. The speaker was surprisingly loud too.But once I started texting everything went down hill. Everything about the phone is amazing, but without easy texting it just kills the deal for me.But if you don't text I would greatly recommend this product. It's really worth buying with all the features it includes.
I just bought this phone and have two immediate reactions.1. Which means (and I contacted customer service about this) I have to enter all my contacts manually onto my new SIM card. This phone came with a new 3G SIM card. I had an old cingular SIM card that this phone does not recognize. I haven't done this yet, but it will probably take me over an hour.2. They keypad is too small and makes entering contact information for over an hour a pain, not to mention texting etc.
This is a great phone. With my Creative Labs mp3 player, the plug set up is slim enough to fit in just about any pocket - same with iPod. You can get a clip set up that will work though. This is the only criticism I have of this phone. The headset doubles as a handsfree. As far as the battery life, I listened to music and used my phone almost 12 hours constant on a road trip. This is good - while I'm listening to my music it will stop and I have the choice of taking the call or sending a busy signal and getting back to the music. The only thing I'm not particulary happy with is the headset setup. With SE, the set up is more bulky.
That said, the thing I don't like is the plug that goes into the Walkman is kind of large. I like to keep my Walkman in my jeans or shorts pocket. It's a small problem, but if you are going to use this to listen to a lot of music as I do, it might be something to think about. When I looked at the phone at the end of the day, it still had 2/3 of battery power left.I highly reccomend this phone.
